The Mistake

Here I sit in enmity of my opponent across the courtroom. I get up; ready to present my harangue in order to defend my client. I know that I am contentious, but I proceed forward anyway. I try to be unfazed by her remarks, but they are starting to get to me. She seems so austere. I feel tremendous affection towards her. I suddenly blurt out, "I love you!" I am embarrassed. I leave abscond through the backdoors. I wake up in my jail cell wondering where my attorney went wrong.
