Don't Look Now

"Daphne Du Maurier was displeased with Hitchcock's movie the Birds.

Nick Roeg's Don't Look Now, she quite liked."

Brad did not respond.

"Don't Look Now was faithful to the short story she wrote."

A waiter poured red wine into each of their glasses.

Holding the wine glass in front of her heart she said.

"To being faithful."

Brad held his wineglass to his heart, looked into Anastasia's eyes.

He said nothing and did not take a sip of wine.

Anastasia could already taste the wine. She wanted a sip now.

"To a fun evening," she offered as an alternate toast.
