100 Words for a Wedding Dress
The thin, straight, floor-length dress is simple. A light mauve color with spaghetti straps, a fake rose pinned on the sweetheart neckline. My mother dressed in this to marry my father at city hall with barely any witnesses is completely fitting for their marriage. Quiet, honest, sincere. I can see my 30-year-old mother with her curled dark brown hair, walking up to Greg, her slender frame sweetly veiled by this purple-pink dress.
I’ve tried it on. Probably more than once. It’s something I like to do. Not sure why. The fabric gently sways when I walk. Relaxing. Almost meditative.
