The Golden Rule

Billy found a toy pistol in the playground.

"Itís mine," a girl said.

"Finders keepers, losers weepers," Billy hollered. He pointed the pistol at her and pulled the trigger.

Purple rays blasted the girl. She disappeared.

Shocked, Billy cried: "Oh God, I didnít mean to kill her. I didnít know it was a ray gun. Please bring her back to life. I promise Iíll say my prayers everyday, and go to church every Sunday."

The girl reappeared. Grabbing the pistol, she removed a gray disk, inserted an orange one, then shot Billy.

Billy disappeared forever.

Minutes later, a spacecraft landed in the playground. The girl boarded.

"Did you enjoy playing with Earth children?" her mom asked.

"Yes, Mother."

"Did you follow The Golden Rule when visiting foreign planets?"

"Yes, Mother. I did to an Earth boy exactly what he did to me. Only, I used a new battery."
